What is Intangible Capital and why is it important?
Intangible capital is directly related to the valuation of the company since it can boost the valuation substantially. In short, a company’s value is far greater than the mere sum of its physical assets. When valuing a company, it is crucial to include the value of its Intangible Assets. When entrepreneurs or business leaders seek funds to grow their business, it is difficult for them to value the business, with intangible capital value being noxiously difficult to calculate. The many parameters to be taken into account are not just financial and other mathematical data. The question is: how do we go about measuring and including the value of intangible capital when valuing a company?
